When we started this project 18 months ago, we had a clear idea: that anyone in Latin America could protect their money without needing a doctorate in finance.
The original name, Bitsafve, was trying to say that. But let's be honest: it was hard to write, hard to pronounce, and hard to search. If your savings tool already complicates you from the name, something is not right.
That's why we change. Bitsafve is now Bitsave.
What changed:
The name. Shorter, clearer, easier to remember.
The visual identity. New colors, new typography, an app that feels like the best financial tools in the world, but made for LATAM.
Bit 🐷. Our digital pig. If you grew up with a piggy bank, you get the idea. Bit is your reminder that saving doesn't have to be boring, complicated, or scary. It's just saving a little whenever you can.
The app. We simplify everything. Verifying you takes 2 minutes. You can buy digital dollars or Bitcoin from $250 MXN (~$12 USD). New payment methods. Everything faster, everything clearer.
What did NOT change
The mission. Protecting your money is so easy that you don't have to think about it.
The security. Your money is still protected with the same standards.
The team. The same people who built Bitsafve built Bitsave. Only now we do it better.

Why this matters
In Latin America, inflation is not an abstract concept. It's making it to the end of the month fairer than last month. It's just that your salary goes up a little but you don't feel it. The fact is that $10,000 pesos from 5 years ago today buy the same as $7,650.
The options that exist are complicated, intimidating, or require you to become an expert in something you are not interested in. We believe that it should not be like this.
